Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction in Exeter

8-week evening course at Exeter College.
The course is based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and others who developed MBSR to enable participants to learn mindfulness in order to increase wellbeing, emotional and physical health and learn how to deal with difficulties and stress in beneficial ways.
We will introduce and practice all key mindfulness practices; discuss and explore topics like how to work with thoughts and much more.

Caring for your body in Exeter

6-week day time course.
The course aims to experience oneself as being embodied, in contact with the physicality of our existence. This will include reflecting on the relationship we have with the own body, how we regard and treat ourselves. A further area of exploration will be to experience touch in forms of self-massage (hand, feet, face) and the topic of consent.

Tailored mindfulness course as part of a research project for a group of experienced mindfulness practitioners.

Experience the Dark in Exeter

Monthly evening class to explore the beauty of the fading light in autumn and winter. Topics will include stillness, poems, movement, songs dedicated to the darkness. The course will also allow for the opportunity to enquire into possible fears associated with being in the dark.

6-week day time course.
All key mindfulness practices will form part of the course content plus an understanding of the signs, triggers and symptoms of mild to moderate Depression.

Exploring Happiness in Honiton

The 6-week day time course explores our assumptions about what does it mean to be happy with exercises and discussions. Practical ideas of how to feel more content with oneself and live will be explored and potentially thereby become more happy.
